The night

A hundred years, played live.

A tattoo is a night of pipes, drums and marching music, staged for a crowd. On July 24, sixteen bands, dancers and special guests fill the arena for the Kimberley Pipe Band’s 100th birthday.

Our century

Two brothers. One parade. A hundred years.

Brothers Angus and Hamish Scott started the band in 1927. Angus was its first Pipe Major.

Since then the pipes and drums have led Kimberley’s parades, played at its celebrations and stood with it in remembrance. This Tattoo thanks the musicians, families, volunteers and supporters who carried the band this far. It welcomes everyone who will carry it next.
