End of the Road to Holland

.It is with great regret that we announce the official cancellation of the Kimberley Pipe Band trip to the Netherlands. We were originally engaged to play at celebrations, in the spring of 2020, commemorating the liberation of the Netherlands by Canadian Forces. The emergence of COVID-19 derailed those plans.
It was our hope that the event would be rescheduled to 2021, and we were making plans to that effect. Unfortunately, the planning committee in the Netherlands have decided to cancel the event indefinitely.
We received amazing support fundraising, in the form of grants and donations and would like to thank the City of Kimberley, the Kimberley and District Community Foundation, as well as all the businesses, service groups and individuals who donated funds, services and time.
Current public event and travel restrictions preclude us from planning, but we would like to reassure all of our patrons that the fundraising money has been set aside to fund a future band event.
